I'm sorry I haven't replied to all the nice comments, the honest truth is I'm just spared to thin to personalize the answers on this blog as much as I should . I should post more, but it ends up being the poor sister as I'm busy with my new job at Nick painting backgrounds for The Mighty B (formally Super Scout) and trying to be a fine artist. People know me as a cartoonist but not as a fine artist so I have to give more energy to that I hope you all understand. These are painted with Carton Colur cell paints on Strathmore heavy velum illustration board and enhanced in Photoshop. Funny how one looks like a Kaz drawing. Not my intent.

Are you inhouse at Nick? If so, we should grab some of the fine culinary treats Burbank has to offer at lunch.
Cool stuff, wish some of my monster stuff would come out as sick as yours. Your stuff still has an edge to it. I used to do illustrations with cartoon color but it's been a really long time since then and I never restocked my colors, that and I don't think anyone carries it here in Ventura....

i've heard of those paints put i have no idea what they're like. Like acrylics, maybe?
If i lived near you i'd show up by your house and beg to film you painting one of those from start to finish, then i'd speed it up and put on youtube....
Ho Ho! Mighty B?! Boy, I'd sure love to work on that show. I've heard of so many talents on board, and then I see paintings like this. Wish I could see the pilot.
I gotta second Gabriel. Anyway you could rig a camera over your back for while you paint? I'd love to see your process.

I think it's funny that some of the uglies have nails going through their faces, haha. They are fabulously-nasty, I can't get enough.
